Definitely an addiction!

There had to be a post about this. This enormous and ever growing social network created ( rather stolen ;) Watch The social network) by one student from harvard now turned billionaire. But seriously it takes hardship to beat google in an aspect and make such a big migration in little time span. So salutes to Mark Zuckerberg ( CEO , Facebook ). Now to the our side of the story, Facebook in India. Facebook is become more than a social network for many in India. It is an addiction , passion , a hobby from school kids to veterans. But how many use it the proper way is the real question? Facebook use is made annoying by..

·        People who join facebook to befriend random people and flirt (These people are ‘cheap guys’ but there are so many girls who do this ‘cheap’ activity also).

·        People who SPAM.

The first type of people are personally annoying because you get random friend requests ( 0 Mutual friends : HOW THE HELL DID YOU FIND ME ! ) and sometimes with dumb descriptions Eg) ‘Hey wassup? (Attitude itseems.) I was jus surfing around n found yer profile . Pretty kewl yaar wanna be frnz?’ Sad. Not working definitely. First of all I hate the use of ‘yaar’ and feel like strangling the person using it. The second type are in your friend list or the group you joined or a page you liked. You get tagged in random images of roses or teddy bears with outright stupid quotes. And there starts the flooding of notifications. Jobless people post meaningless comments mostly drooling if at all a girl has commented on it. Eg ) Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww , Cuteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee , Loooks like uuuuuuuuuu JJJ,something seriously wrong with their Keyboards I guess. Then I got a invitation from a random person to the event “Talks on ‘Avvaiyar's Vinayagar Agawal’  in Tamil” recently, WTH ? :/ The apps that FB has come up with are down-right annoying these days. Friendmeter , Friend castle , My football team , Friendship cup , Friend-couples ( Now this is THE stupidest app which picks two random friends from your list and posts them as a couple , now think twice before adding your family to your list ;) ) are all useless apps for so called fun. Farmville :/ I cud dedicate a whole post to screw this game!  

Truth..

Then about the must mention love stories on FB and the murders that follow. It is pretty stupid how someone falls in love with someone he/she has just chatted for a few days and then commit suicide for the same. The stories don’t seem appealing or even worth your pity for the killed guy or the kidnapped girl. Plain stupidity. On that note this short-film is nice and worth a watch MUGAPUTHAGAM. Also there is serious gender discrimination on in FB. ( Ok , I am and every guy will say this with a bit of jealousy and little frustration )  Why do girls ( Even the worstu ones ;) ) have 10000 friends within a week? Why does each status update of a girl get a minimum of 20-30 likes and 100 odd comments? Which does every profile picture of a girl ( even if it is a Barbie doll or a cat or a dumb teddy ) get 100 likes? This is all true but is it because girls the coolest things on earth? DEFINITELY NOT. This is just happening in India if everyone here change they way they look at FB as place to meet your partner. And when there are 100 guys trying , competition boss, COMPETITION :D

 It is just a network to keep in touch with your family/friends even if your separated by miles. Proper use of FB would be real fun as done by the rest of the world as far as I know.
