The Indian 'definitely not the people's' Government

" For the people , By the people " goes the saying about the Indian government , Id like to trash this saying as its definitely not true even to the smallest extent. After so many attempts by movies , books , newspapers , critics trying to mock , humiliate The ( Our :| ) government there doesnt seem to be the slightest change for good. People dont care who they vote for ( most of time its the government who promises the most freebies comes to power here ) and then finally put the blame about the bad government on the politicians. That word has definitely become something synonymous to Goon , smuggler ( After all the famed 2G and CWG scams ). I asked a friend of mine who she was going to vote for( I know its illegal but just like that) during the recent elections and she was like "Dude who cares? will jus go ther n put 'inky pinky ponky' n vote! As if my one vote is gonna chang the result" WHAT THE ! :O At this rate we have chances of becoming a under developed country let alone becoming a Super power! Id like to quote a few examples about the government of the to-be Developed country in 2020 ( keep dreaming.. ) on my personal experiences and what Ive heard from others.

Tourism department and Immigration - This is the place which bugged me bad recently and is a cause for this post. I wanted to go to my cousin's place at Singapore with my other cousin for around 15 days , simple. How many problematic processes in between?! GOD! "Thaniya poringana Visa kedaikaathu saar!" ( If your going alone you wont get visa saar! and yeah in TN we say 'saar' for 'sir' and we cant say 'film' we say 'filim') "Immigration la maatum , pudichi vachukuvanga " LOL ( Youll get caught in immigration , theyll catch and keep you! , Are going to traffic drugs or what? Just two innocent guys on a tour :P ). The whole thing is that people are leaving India to settle down abroad and they want to keep us here fearing we might get a job there. This totally is dumb because of two reasons 1. Im doin my engineering and im half way through so its obvious that I wont get/think of getting a job right now. 2. If you dont want people leaving your country make your country reach standards so noone would consider leaving rather than stopping people from going on tours!

Traffic Police - Now there is so much to say about the Kings of the road! The swindling goes to heights at times. Once my friend was to buy us a meal from KFC and after parking his bike and entering the resto he saw his bike being booked for parking in a No-parking area. The cops got 500rs from him claiming that the parking had been changed to the opposite side only that day! [ Neenga nenachu nenachu mathuna? , Btw the saddest part was KFC meal gone :( ]. And then this once me and my friend were going home in the night after dinner out two cops stopped us and asked my friend to blow in to the most disgusting ethylometer ( Half of the town wouldve blown into the same thing! ) and when he refused the was like "Ok jus blow" then when my friend blowed, he said to the other cop " Sir koli satrukanunga " (Theyve had chicken). We were like WTH ? Then we had to shell out 100 bucks for a unknown over speeding infraction. Wonder how it changed in one second!

NHAI - This is another sad story here. The amount of money spent on petrol to drive from Madurai to Chennai < The money spent on tollbooths on the way. Ofcourse the 4 lane track offers safety but this is too much a price to pay! Few of the tollbooths have expired but still continue to stop people and rip off cash. The way this goes will make air travel cheaper than road travel if its not the case now itself.

After all the genuine attempts to bring about a change ( Definitely not counting the Baba's fast and stunt jump off the stage :P ) , lets have our hopes alive and look forward to change as always! After all Nambikai than vaalkai!
